Acacia fiber (gum arabic) is a soluble prebiotic fiber from Acacia senegal trees. The MOST GI-tolerable fiber — ferments SLOWLY in the colon, producing minimal gas/bloating even at 20-30g/day (vs inulin/FOS which cause gas at 10g). Increases Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus. 5-20g/day. SunFiber® (partially hydrolyzed guar gum) is similar. Excellent for IBS patients who can't tolerate other fibers.
