AVELOR SUMMARY
Japanese longevity herb from Hachijō Island. Contains 4,4'-dimethoxychalcone (DMC) — the compound identified in a 2019 Nature Medicine paper as activating autophagy and extending lifespan in yeast, worms, and flies. DMC is the ONLY chalcone shown to activate TFEB (transcription factor EB — master regulator of autophagy). Also contains prenylated chalcones with anti-inflammatory and anti-diabetic activity. Limited human data but the autophagy mechanism is validated in multiple model organisms. Dose: 500-1,500mg/day dried leaf/stem.
