How encryption works
1.Your health files are parsed entirely in your browser.
2.A unique encryption key is derived from your account.
3.Data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage.
4.The key exists only in browser memory, never on our servers.
5.When you log out, the key is destroyed.
6.We literally cannot decrypt your data. Only you can.
Data Management
STORED HEALTH DATA

No health data stored.

Scan Dose uses client-side AES-256-GCM encryption via the Web Crypto API. Encryption keys are derived per-user using PBKDF2 with 100,000 iterations and exist only in browser memory. Health data is parsed and encrypted entirely in your browser. No raw health data is transmitted to or stored on Scan Dose servers. File metadata (upload dates, file types) is stored server-side for account management.
